For use in Pump Stations, Utility Vaults and Treatment Plants, the ASG Series Hatch provides fall through protection while still allowing routine inspections without opening the grate.

SPECIFICATIONS

The floor access door shall be Model ASGS (single door or ASGD (double door) 300 Series as manufactured by USF Fabrication, Inc with the size being specified on the plans. Door leaf shall be 1/4-inch thick aluminum diamond plate with integrated safety grating fall through protection reinforced for a 300 P.S.F. combined live load. Safety grating consist of an aluminum grate with 4″ x 6″ openings that rotates on hinges that are welded to the hatch frame. Safety grating shall be powder coated with safety orange color. The safety grate shall automatically lock in its full upright position utilizing a 316 stainless steel hold-open arm. The safety grate will include a padlock staple to allow a padlock to lock the grates in their closed position. The frame shall be manufactured from ¼” aluminum material. The floor access door shall be equipped with a flush drop handle that does not protrude above the cover, and a 316 stainless steel hold open arm with red vinyl grip that automatically locks the cover in the 90 degree open position. The door shall have 316 stainless steel hinge pins and 316 stainless steel tamper resistant bolts/locknuts.

Installation shall be in accordance with the manufacturer’s attached instructions. The door shall be manufactured and assembled in the United States. Manufacturer shall guarantee the door against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ten (10) years.
